Led by a team of dedicated doctors, nurses, and an experienced team of support workers, Maxlife Care partners with its participants to provide quality care and personalised services designed to meet their complex care needs.

This is achieved with our multi-disciplinary team providing our participants with empowerment, a sense of belonging, respect, and dignity.
This role will provide clinical leadership and manage matters impacting quality and safety in clinical practice across all our participants.
Ensuring that the delivery of safe and effective care is underpinned by provision and oversight of professional development of direct care workers, nurses, and registered nurses including maintaining and advancing nursing practice, complex care skills, and building the clinical competence of staff.
The Head of Clinical will work closely with the CMO and GM Operations and will be responsible for:
Leadership, management, and direction of the Clinical Team.
Develop and set performance targets as well as contributing to the broader clinical work of Maxlife Care.
They contribute to the development of MLC Clinical Governance Framework which encapsulates the models of care adopted by MLC.
Collaborate and work closely with the Transitions, Service Delivery, Quality and Risk, and People and Culture teams to ensure safe and successful transitions of new participants.
Review reports and partner with the clinicians to respond to data and information that indicates safety and quality issues.
Formulate individualised care plans based on an in-depth understanding of the client to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Upskill the Clinical team to prepare individualised care plans and deliver training to support teams.
Training and Development: Work with the Quality and Risk Team, People and Culture Team, and the Clinical Team to support our commitment to high-level clinical education and training.
Promote a high standard of evidence-based clinical care to all clients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge.
Develop and deliver an annual calendar of professional development and clinical education activities to meet the clinical care needs and service outcomes for clients that reflect evidence-based practice and meet and exceed the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
Contribute to the development and implementation of approved Clinical Education Plans including specialist clinical training to meet short, medium, and long-term requirements of MLC's client cohort such as Specialist and Complex Disability Care, Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health, and Palliative/End of Life Care.
Provide analysis of monthly reports to management that identifies compliance with internal education, training plans, and other regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will ideally have: Experience in leading and developing teams.
Demonstrated experience in managing a quality management function.
Current Registration as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Experience in providing education, mentoring, and support to staff in their current workplace.
A minimum of 5 years post-basic registration experience and evidence of ongoing professional development as reflected in a Professional Practice Portfolio.
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent or working towards.
Working knowledge of NDIS Disability Services Standards, Quality, and Safeguarding principles.
Experience in identifying and responding to clinical risks, monitoring, and addressing clinical indicators, and implementing continuous quality strategies to achieve safe and effective care.
NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain.
Right to Work – Australian Citizen, Resident, or hold a valid Visa.
