What this job involves The Building Operations Manager for the Royal Street precinct is a pivotal role that requires operational expertise to support and lead the Building Operations team.
This position is responsible for managing the engineering and operational aspects of the client's property, with a focus on addressing and resolving critical operational issues and implementing process improvements.
The successful candidate will provide essential technical support to the Property Manager / Account Director and other building staff while also generating comprehensive reports on building operations for client submission.
They will work closely with the capital works team and the Operational Risk & Compliance Management team, offering support and ensuring seamless integration of operations.
A key responsibility is the effective management of JLL's deliverables through associated JLL Technologies, including Prism, iComply, and various other platforms.
The role also involves procuring supplier and contract services in strict accordance with State Government Guidelines.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex operational systems while maintaining high standards of compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Provide operational leadership for the Building Operations team at Royal Street precinct.Manage engineering and operations of the client's property, including day-to-day management and compliance matters.Oversee performance of the site operations team and manage service contracts.Support property management in budgeting, capital investment planning, and asset strategies.Ensure timely reporting and data delivery to clients and senior management.Maintain high standards of risk management, particularly in areas of public liability, fire and lift safety, and essential services.Implement continuous improvement through JLL IT systems.Liaise with tenant FM resources and consultants to execute tenant works and meet sustainability goals.Key qualifications and attributes: Strong leadership and interpersonal skillsExperience in managing building services, preferably in multi-storey commercial assetsKnowledge of current workplace and building legislationProficiency in property engineering and operationsAnalytical skills and computer literacyExcellent communication skillsProactive, flexible, and team-oriented approachAn engineering degree or diploma is preferred but not essential.What you can expect from us: As an organisation, we don't just accept that we are a place of many different people, but we embrace it, we celebrate it, and we proactively support the needs that difference brings.
