Kickstart your teaching career with our graduate teacher employment pathway, earning you a competitive starting public-school salary of $80,184.Up to $12K relocation reimbursement is offered for interstate applicants.The ACT Education Directorate seeks passionate and aspiring third-year and fourth-year undergraduate, or second year masters students to apply for our Pre-service Teacher Program, securing your future as a new educator before you graduate. Our Permit to Teach Program is an employment-based pathway for aspiring students completing an initial teacher education (ITE) course. You'll receive pay and conditions that are among the nation's leading public school teacher salary packages and gain invaluable experience in an ACT public school.

In ACT public schools, you can teach in a range of school settings, including preschool to year 6 primary schools, years 7 to 10 high schools, larger preschool to year 10 schools, and in colleges teaching years 11 and 12.
