Established in 1940, Gowrie WA is the oldest early childhood education and care provider in Western Australia.
We are proudly not-for-profit, currently operating three metropolitan Childcare centres and expanding to regional areas in 2025.
The Opportunity
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced person to take on the role of Lead of Operations.
Reporting to the Executive Lead People, Places and Partnerships, this position is supporting a small portfolio of Childcare centres within Perth.
As Lead of Operations, you will be responsible for providing overall exceptional leadership, direction, support, assistance, mentoring and coaching to our Education and Care Leads (Centre Managers) and team of educators.
As Lead of Operations, you will exemplify our purpose of nurturing the potential of the formative years for the benefit of children, families and community.
Your day to day
You will spend your time between our services, meeting all aspects of your role Report on operations, quality, compliance and growth, to Executive Lead and CEO Work in collaboration with the Education and Care Leads, ensuring legislative requirements are being followed in accordance with the National Quality Framework and applicable regulations Work alongside our teams to build, maintain and promote high quality learning environments, quality programs and service excellence Share your wealth of early learning knowledge and experience with the teams, promoting best practice and continuous improvement Drive outcomes, high performance and accountability within your team while scaffolding professionalism and excellent leadership and management Promote Gowrie WA as a workplace of choice, fostering excellent team and organisational culture and performance, through working closely with our people Contribute to and build a positive reputation for Gowrie WA in the community and within the sector About you

You will have the following skills, abilities, and experiences:
A minimum of Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education & Care or equivalent A minimum of two years' experience in a leadership/management role A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework and licensing A friendly and professional manner, and positive can-do attitude Employee engagement, coaching, and mentoring experience with proven ability to lead a dedicated team through innovation and transformation is desired Demonstrated high level attention to detail and problem solving Highly motivated, committed and driven, with the ability to be flexible and manage your time and a wide range of demands Willingness and ability to travel between sites and potentially to future regional locations Willingness to be involved with the Gowrie WA Board as required and requested, is essential Our Offer
