Strategium is seeking experienced cyber security architects with 7+ years' experience to join our team.
Immediate opportunities are available for Canberra-based clients; however, we are constantly on the lookout for Cyber Security Architects to support work we do in other states and territories.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk assessments and threat modelling to identify and prioritise security needs.
Development and implementation of cyber security policies, standards, guidelines and best practices to align with the security architecture and business objectives.
Development and maintenance of an organisation's cyber security architecture in line with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Develop detailed architecture diagrams, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
Collaboration with relevant IT and business teams to integrate security requirements into system designs and development processes.
Design and configuration of security solutions for hardware, software, and network components.
Test and evaluate security performance of identified solutions.
Provide guidance to staff and users on security matters.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats and technologies.
Key Requirements:
Degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security or a related field.
5-10+ years in cyber security with at least 3 years in a security architecture or design role.
Proficiency in designing secure network architectures (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, access controls, intrusion detection systems).
Familiarity with cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and drive security initiatives.
Hands-on experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, Essential Eight, ISO 27001) and risk management methodologies.
A willingness to travel domestically for short periods as required.
