Position Overview The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for detecting and investigating shoplifting and fraud in retail establishments.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work on a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities Apprehend offenders and call police.
Strive to prevent theft of and malicious damage to the store's products.
Support team members and other security services at all times.
Deter theft and report missing assets.
Respond to emergency situations.
Risk identification and issue resolution.
The ability and confidence to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
Produce quality reports.

Skills and Experience Current Security License.
First Aid Certificate highly desirable.
Proven experience in the Loss Prevention and/or Retail industries.
Ability to identify patterns and potential behaviors leading to theft.
Excellent presentation and grooming standards.
A positive and proactive approach.
Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution.
Evening and weekend availability are essential.
Strong written communication skills, including incident report writing.
Ability to multitask and work autonomously in a high-paced team environment.
High attention to detail.
Previous loss prevention and retail experience is highly desirable.
