About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
It provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria, and leads key cross-sector collaboration.
The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight, and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
Opportunities Available 1 x Ongoing Full-Time2 x Fixed-Term Full-TimeAbout the Division The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is a statutory authority established under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 and regulates school education in Victoria.
Within the VRQA, the Schools Division is responsible for ensuring independent, Catholic, and government schools, school boarding premises, and other school sector providers comply with minimum standards for registration, including the Child Safe Standards.
About the Role The role contributes to the work of a high-performing and motivated team in a dynamic environment.
The work of the Schools Division includes reviews of registered providers, registration and re-registration assessments of providers, and regulatory projects.
The role reports to a Manager within the Schools Division.
The primary purpose of the role is to assure the compliance of registered schools, school boarding premises, and other school sector providers with the minimum standards for registration.
A key aspect of the role involves developing relationships with stakeholders across the independent, Catholic, and government school sectors, other regulators, and government departments in Victoria and nationally.
