Director-General Department of Justice Queensland As Director-General of the Department of Justice in Queensland, you will play a significant role in influencing the execution and successful delivery of the Queensland Government's commitments that reflect the government's vision for Queensland.
The commitments are long-term and can only be achieved by everyone involved working together:
to restore safety where you live to reinstate health services when you need them to return respect for your money to reimagine a place to call home to redesign a government that works for you.
The Department of Justice in Queensland is responsible for administering justice and provides regulatory and consumer protection services.
These services are delivered through the following divisions:
Community Justice Services Courts and Tribunals Crown Law Harm Prevention and Regulation Justice Policy and Reform Portfolio Governance and Executive Services Corporate Services As Director-General, you will play a key role in delivering the department's vision for a fair, safe, and inclusive society for all Queenslanders.
You will:
provide strategic leadership that demonstrates a clear and compelling vision of communication, governance, and values-based management to the department and its employees preserve and build productive working relationships with stakeholders, identifying tactful and diplomatic management practices mobilise effective and efficient governance, administration, and operation of the department coordinate the appropriate services required to ensure the Minister is positioned to deliver the priorities set out in the Ministerial Charter Letter promote innovation through understanding of the principal responsibilities required to deliver the Queensland Government's objectives model the highest standards of ethical behaviour and transparency in decision-making lead through awareness, demonstrating clear rationale to exemplary problem-solving and decision-making practices As a Chief Executive of the Queensland Government, you are expected to provide exemplary leadership qualities that align to the Leadership competencies for Queensland.
