Group Strategy Director (Also known as Group Strategy/Planning Director or Group Communications Planner/Director)

Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
The Group Strategy Director, alongside the Head of Strategy, leads a team of strategists and is responsible for driving the strategic direction on behalf of a portfolio of clients.
They ensure work meets the highest standards, locally and competitively within our global network.
Demonstrate leadership, commercial acumen and vision, inspiring their team to deliver a cohesive, proactive approach to strategy which helps clients grow.
Work closely with client teams and senior leadership to ensure that the product delivered to clients is integrated and best in class.
Increase the visibility of the Spark strategic product.
Accountable for financial performance, including revenue, client commercial agreements, and team costs, encompassing long-term planning for the team, reflective of client and team development needs.
Act as a senior client escalation point and trusted strategic advisor for key clients.
Guide Strategy Directors, Account Directors, and Client Partners on optimal output and resource use.
Develop and manage the Strategy Directors and broader agency team.
Define and deliver projects that enhance output and efficiency, managing resources in line with client work flow.
Recommend and recruit for new/replacement roles to fit changes in the client portfolio.
Track head hour utilization against agreed remuneration for individual clients and agency projects.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
Participate in agency new business initiatives.
Experience required: Minimum 12 years industry experience, most recently in a similar position.
Proven business acumen in medium to large agencies.
Expert understanding of consumer psychology, behavioral economics, macro-economic influences, trends, and current marketing science thinking with an exceptional ability to make this actionable.
Salary – over threshold
All roles require a relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of qualification.
Role could also be available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane.
