The businesses are Woolworths Food Company Retail (WFCR), Australia Grocery Wholesalers, Greenstock, and Refresh within Woolworths Group.In WFCR, we partner with dynamic suppliers to develop a range of Woolworths Own Brand and exclusive brand products, which meet the ongoing and changing needs of Woolworths customers.We have a deep passion for our quality products and the value they bring to our customers.
Our integrated teams of Sourcing Specialists, Product Developers, Packaging Specialists, Customer Insights & Sensory Specialists, Chefs, Commercial Specialists, and Branders work closely with suppliers and partners to deliver the best balance of quality, value, taste, nutrition, and innovation for our customers.What you'll experienceA global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network.A progressive and flexible 'Work from Anywhere' policy that gives you more control over your work, life, and wellbeing.Parental Leave provision applies to permanent team members, and excludes casual team members, fixed term team members, and contractors.What you'll doWork with a wide variety of stakeholders from both within the business and with our supply base and must therefore possess excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Develop an intimate knowledge of our products and our customer, as well as the ability to stay on top of category trends, technologies, innovation, competition, and supplier capability within food & non-food categories.Maintain intimate knowledge of sales and GP performance of categories by SKU & negotiate contracts on existing and new product portfolio.Deliver COGS reductions across the respective categories without impacting quality, through ensuring better buying and working collaboratively with our suppliers.Understand supply base capability and identify opportunities to nurture new supplier relationships to deliver long-term competitive advantage.What you'll bringPrevious experience in Buying, with an emphasis on supplier development and procurement.Strong understanding of product componentry and cost makeup of goods, as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes, and impact on the cost of goods.Analytical skills and understanding of customer insights to make informed decisions.Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence with cross-functional and external stakeholders.Previous experience in compliance with supply expectation KPI's, monitoring and acting upon KPIs to ensure supply continuity across the product portfolio.Please note that the Woolworths support office is closed for the festive season from 21 December 2024.
