Role: CIS Engagement Manager
Practice Overview: Consumer, Industrials and Services (CIS) Oliver Wyman's Consumer, Industrials and Services (CIS) practice group serves the majority of the world's industries across a number of key geographies.
Industry sectors include: Automotive & Manufacturing, Communications, Media & Technology, Energy, Retail & Consumer Products and Transportation & Services.
We are searching for candidates with experience in the Transportation & Services sector.
Transportation & Services: Oliver Wyman's Transportation & Services Practice advises airlines, railroads, motor carriers, maritime, supply chain and logistics integrators, postal companies, express and freight transport business, as well as governments and regulators to help shape the face of the industry.
With deep industry expertise, our consulting team helps clients stay ahead of the competition by working with them on their most challenging problems around strategic growth, digital transformation, operational improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
Operations: We work with clients across industries to help them manage and optimize their operations through improving delivery and cost efficiency to become market leaders in their industry.
We help them find strategic solutions to address the challenges they face, optimize their operating model to deliver the best service and increase the operational performance while controlling operating cost.
We focus on developing solutions which can be immediately implemented in collaboration with clients' teams and can rapidly bring visible and sustainable results.
We offer a comprehensive set of capabilities spanning Operations; including performance improvement, digital operations strategy, and risk management.

As a professional member of our firm, your initial responsibilities will include:
Managing the execution of individual project modules.
This typically includes developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights.Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high quality case executionOwning and developing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level steer to projectsCoaching consultants and helping them develop their skill setsDesired Skills and Experience Engagement Managers serve as the primary contact point for senior client executives and Oliver Wyman consultants staffed on client engagements.
While specific responsibilities will vary based on previous experience the ideal candidate will have the following:
4-6 years of experience in strategy consulting and/or transportation & services industry experienceStrong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skillsExpertise in one or more of the following areas: Supply Risk Management, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Digital Manufacturing, Operations Strategy, Shop Floor Operations, Product Redesign, Process OptimisationOperations/Supply Chain/Shop Floor Operations experience in Aviation, Aerospace, Rail, and Transportation industriesExperience in network design and logistics preferredTrack record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environmentsOutstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executivesUndergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic programWillingness to travelApplication Process: Submit an application to one of the CIS Engagement Manager vacancies to ****** and/or ****** Please include an updated resume and a cover letter outlining your interest in and qualificationsOliver Wyman is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.
