Sharp and Carter are assisting a large complex State Government Department recruit for a Program Manager to join on a 12 month day rate contract based in Brisbane CBD.
The department is seeking to deliver a long-term infrastructure replacement and investment program across the department for digital services and capability to further enable collaboration and innovation, across the following areas: Telephony and Unified Communications (UC)Wi-Fi and Network ConnectivityBroadband UpgradePlatform Automation and ModernisationFirewall and Network Security(2) year plan to deliver fit for purpose network infrastructure solutions to 340+ locations and supporting equity and excellence.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager with extensive expertise in IT infrastructure, particularly in network, telephony and cloud, to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, not only in initiating the program of works, but also leading technical and non-technical workshops, procurement activities and engagements with various stakeholders, defining scope, schedule, costs, resourcing and risks and ensuring optimisation and an efficient roll out is planned with repeatable processes.
The Program Manager will work closely with the Project Managers and Organisational Change Manager to deliver better outcomes to our communities.
About the role: Lead and undertake strategic planning in order to identify and mitigate risks and issues that will impact on the delivery of a key enterprise ICT solution.Develop and implement planning for the delivery of this key departmental initiative.Provide strategic advice to senior business stakeholders on business solutions options, data migration strategies, service provision arrangements and ongoing support arrangements.Ensure adherence to all internal and WoG assurance processes.Manage and deliver all related program and project management activities and products in accordance with the PRINCE2 and MSP methodologies to ensure achievement of agreed objectives and outcomes within budget and on time.Lead the development and implementation of maintenance processes for the chosen solution to ensure current and future department business requirements are delivered.Manage any successful vendor/s in implementing newly selected solution/s.Develop and maintain networks to ensure the continued strategic exchange of information between key stakeholders.Take a leading role in the areas of business consultation, seamless service delivery, change management, collaborative planning processes and business focused solutions.Implement effective change management strategies to ensure a seamless transition to the new solution.Manage and oversee the resources, technologies and processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of the program.Engage with key stakeholders to establish and manage priorities for the program.Consult and negotiate with clients, senior management, suppliers, other public sector agencies and key stakeholders on the development and implementation of best practice, initiatives and service delivery standards.Provide high-level strategic advice and support on the program of work governance related matters to the Internal Portfolio Manager and the Program Board.Maintain a strict reporting regime on program performance that meets the requirements of governance processes set up to oversee the program implementation.Prepare briefing material and reports for the senior departmental officers on substantial issues and risks related to the delivery of this program.Manage complex issues on behalf of the Program Board, including reviewing, monitoring, coordinating and facilitating the implementation of this initiative.Represent the Department at high level negotiations and reporting in a variety of forums.Manage the development, implementation, maintenance and review of programs, systems, policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of a quality product.For more information on this role, a copy of the position description or a confidential discussion reach out to Max or Shane on the details below.
