Our clinic has proudly served the Mackay community long before the mining boom, establishing strong relationships with our loyal patient base.
We are committed to offering high-quality dental care and are currently focused on enhancing our practice to meet future needs.
Operating Days / Hours:Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMRooms: 4Practice Management Software: OasisLocation: Long-term local clinic with a reputation for excellent care.Clients Demographic: Primarily long-term clients and returning patients.Waitlist: 1-3 month waiting list; we have availability for a new dentist (longer appointment times currently required).Parking Onsite: Available for clinicians, staff, and clients.Nearby: Free parking for up to 2 hours if onsite parking is unavailable.Support Staff Dental Assistants: 5, with most staff being relatively new to this practice.Other Support Staff: 1 Practice Manager, experienced in medical management with 1 year as a dental PM.Dental Hygienists / Oral Health Therapists: 1 OHT currently on maternity leave.Part-Time Dentist: 1 Part-Time Dentist with over 40 years of experience.OS-trained Dentist: 1 OS-trained Dentist with over 10 years of experience in Australia.Practice Setup Chairs / Treatment Units: 3 Right-Handed Chairs and 1 Left-Handed Chair (needs replacing)Clinical Imaging: Intraoral X-ray, Intraoral Camera, Intraoral Scanner for impressionsCAD / CAM: 3D ScannerSterilisation: 2 Autoclaves and standard required equipmentPlant: Standard setup as per requirementsEndo Handpieces: Endo Motor and Apex Locator – 2 different modelsAnesthesia / Sedation: Mater Hospital theatre onlyJob DescriptionProvide high-quality dental care to patients.Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums.Perform routine cleanings, extractions, fillings, and other dental procedures.Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care.Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care.QualificationsWhat we want from you Excellent communication skills with both patients and your support team.Passion to learn and develop new skills expanding scope of works.Hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (or able to obtain).Ability to work within Australia.Additional InformationAs Australasia's largest dental support organisation (DSO), Abano Healthcare is your team behind the practice.
