As a Junior Buyer at RM Williams, you will support the Senior Buyer in the development, assortment planning, and commercialisation of our footwear, leathergoods, and lifestyle categories.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Design , Product Development , and Planning to help execute the buying strategy.
This role is development-focused, offering significant opportunities to build your buying expertise while contributing to the success of key product categories.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Senior Buyer in the assortment planning and selection process, ensuring that the product range aligns with both brand and commercial goals.
Assist in analysing sales trends, market data, competitor analysis and customer insights to inform product decisions.
Collaborate with Design and Production teams to ensure the timely delivery and commercialisation of the product assortment.
Work closely with Planning to track product performance, manage inventory levels, and identify potential opportunities or risks in the business.
Maintain accuracy in product master data files , ensuring all product information is correct across business functions.
Contribute to product presentations and buying reports to support decision-making processes.
Take part in cross-functional meetings with stakeholders such as Marketing , E-Commerce , and Supply Chain to assist in the commercialisation of product ranges.
Assist in identifying growth opportunities and provide input on product development strategies based on consumer trends and market needs.
Continuously develop your knowledge of the product categories and buying processes, taking on additional responsibilities as you gain experience.
Experience / Technical Requirements
Tertiary qualification in fashion, business or a related field – preferred but not essential Experience in a buying assistant or junior buyer role, ideally within footwear, leathergoods, or fashion A passion for product, with a keen interest in understanding consumer trends and product performance.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, especially when managing product data and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and build relationships with key stakeholders.
A proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to forecasting, quantifying buys, and understanding inventory management is preferred What we offer
