About the roleThe Head of Strategy will be a critical leadership role that will oversee the implementation of the organisation's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with their vision, values, and long-term goals.
As the driving force behind strategic execution, you will work across departments and with external stakeholders to deliver impactful results that shape the future of the company.
Responsibilities:Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the main duties will include:Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and budget.Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to translate high-level strategies into actionable plans.Establish and monitor KPIs to track progress, identify risks, and adapt plans as needed to meet organizational objectives.Foster strong cross-functional collaboration, driving engagement across teams to achieve alignment and commitment.Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in strategy execution.Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing team, developing capabilities and fostering professional growth.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, regulators, and customers, to ensure buy-in and support for strategic initiatives.Conduct regular reporting and presentations to the board and other senior stakeholders on progress and outcomes.The successful applicant will have:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).Extensive experience in strategy delivery, project management, or operational leadership roles, preferably within Heavy Industry, Engineering, Mining, or Logistics.Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.A commitment to sustainability and innovation in transportation.Additional benefits:Career DevelopmentDriving the strategic direction of the businessLeading a highly effective and dynamic teamBusiness partnering focusLarge growth mandateExcellent Benefits packageAbout the client:Established with national coverage, this organisation has only been operating for a short time but has taken the market by storm and is fast becoming the leader within their field.
