Ict Service Manager

Within the Simulation & Modelling Network (SIMOD) ICT Service Delivery team, an EL 1 ICT Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve ICT service provision work within an integrated workforce, managing a standalone network for the Land Engineering Agency.
As an EL 1 ICT Manager you will be accountable for the development and implementation of work plans, set performance indicators, and review individual, team and business performance, with a focus on identifying opportunities for building team capability and continuous improvement, leading a small team of Australian Public Service (APS) and contracted specialist technical staff.
You will have a focus on finance and procurement of ICT assets, comply with Defence IT Security Policy and set work that aligns with strategic objectives and communicate expected outcomes.
About our Team The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integral part of the Department of Defence.
This group procures and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government.
Within CASG, the Land Domain acquires and supports designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force.

Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced IT procurement specialist, accountable, under broad direction to be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes within an integrated workforce.
The successful candidate will: Have demonstrated relevant experience in procurement of ICT software and hardware, and contract management.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Be capable of leading, managing and mentoring successful teams.
