Human Resources Officer - Aboriginal Identified Note: This is an Identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (WACHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation that aims to empower Aboriginal people to take control of their individual, family, and community health and wellbeing needs through our clinical and community programs.

Reporting directly to the Executive Manager Human Resources, this role is critical in providing consistent and efficient support within the human resource function applied across the organisation.
The role is primarily responsible for generalist HR administration duties, end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, HR-related compliance, and HRIS coordination.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing broad HR administrative support in a timely manner.
Acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries.
Building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
Maintaining accurate employee data in HRIS (Employment Hero).
Providing timely HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Interpreting and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Coordinating all aspects of the employment lifecycle including recruitment and selection, onboarding, and coordinating exit interviews.
Coordinating learning and development/training activities for the organisation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar role.
A Certificate of Aboriginality.
A Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
A Current Working with Children Checks NSW (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Australian Driver's License.
