This position is a temporary full-time position with the possibility of extension without further advertisement or interview at the discretion of SESLHD. St George Hospital is recruiting for a Post Graduate Fellow to complement and enhance the current Interventional Radiology department. The position reports to the Clinical Lead of Interventional Radiology. Interventional Radiology is actively engaged with all specialties in the hospital to provide a holistic approach toward achieving excellent patient care when people need it. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating the holistic management of patients, be an effective inter-departmental liaison, and gain extensive experience in a wide array of Image Guided Interventions. These include Interventional Oncology (from biopsies to intra-arterial therapies and ablation), Vascular Intervention (from vascular access to IVC filter management, TIPSS and thrombectomy), Embolization therapies (for acute as well as chronic conditions), and AVM management. Other procedures include percutaneous biliary, genitourinary, obstetric, and pain interventions. The fellow will be an active participant in MDTs (Peritonectomy, HCC, Urology, Trauma, Vascular).

Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, Breast screening, HIV/AIDS, Public Health, Women's Health, Youth Health, Sexual Health, Imaging and Pathology services are provided at a number of facilities across SESLHD.
The primary location of this position may be varied as agreed with the Director of Clinical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.

Demonstrated commitment to provision of a high standard of clinical care in the public sector setting.Demonstrated experience in and commitment to research relevant to the role and needs of the Department.This is a Category A position.
