Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public WorksStrategic Policy & Intergovernmental Relations; Policy Performance & First Nations; Brisbane CityYour role within Policy, Performance and First Nations will support the department to improve performance and achieve better outcomes for the State through the setting up and delivery of the departments and Government's long-term strategic reform agenda and objectives. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.You will be responsible for the coordination and provision of comprehensive and timely executive support to the Office of the General Manager, Strategic Policy and Intergovernmental Relations.Coordinate the delivery of submissions, documentation, proposals and initiatives requiring departmental or divisional responses on behalf of the General Manager.Liaise with key departmental officers within Policy, Performance and First Nations, as well as other departmental divisions, to ensure the effective preparation and coordination of information requests.Provide high-level specialist advice and support to the General Manager in relation to stakeholder and client-related matters.Respond in a timely manner to all requests for information from the Offices of the Minister and the Director-General, which includes requests from Electorate offices and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.Undertake or assist in various research or analytical tasks relating to the operations of the division.Remain abreast of emerging issues impacting the portfolio and provide advice to the General Manager and other executives on appropriate courses of action.Assist in the management of the Office of the General Manager's mailbox.Ensure compliance with information management and recordkeeping requirements.Work with agility and flexibility to meet changing team and divisional needs.Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and are a part of day-to-day operations.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/606127/24Closing Date: Monday, 9 December 2024Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.
