Cook Permanent full-time opportunity at Mt Wilga Private Hospital.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our vibrant and friendly catering team
The Role In this role you will be responsible for food preparation for patients and staff, ensuring a high standard in quality of Hospital food production and cleanliness within the department in line with required Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards and Hospital policies.
Supported by the Catering Team and Catering Manager you will:
Ensure all meals are presented in appropriate proportions and according to the menu requestsEnsure high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areasAssist in ordering of all food stock, ingredients, supplies and equipment.About You You will act as a positive role model while demonstrating an ability to foster a culture that is positive, friendly, cooperative and forward-thinking.
You will also demonstrate:
Certificate in Commercial CookingMinimum 2 years' experience as a CookAbility to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirementsCompliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and SafetyCommitment to excellence in preparation and supply of food servicesCommitment to excellence in hygiene standardsPrevious healthcare setting experience will be highly regarded although not essentialRemuneration A base hourly rate ranging from $29.30 - $29.87 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
