This leadership role is responsible for advising growing attendance at events and increasing participation in Council programs and services.
In addition to providing leadership, supervision and guidance to the Marketing Lead, Marketing Advisor, and Graphic Design & Brand Lead, you will be responsible for the following:
Influencing Council departments to improve marketing, graphic design and representation of brand.Growing service adoption, brand recognition and event attendance.Providing considered expert marketing advice to the ACE department, CEO, Executive Leadership team and wider Council.Actively driving the promotion of services across the organisation with a focus on commercial and change programs.Overseeing the development of Moonee Valley's brand and sub-brands, including performing arts, visual assets, festivals and events.Coaching and developing team members in planning and delivering marketing plans and program activations.Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, other relevant disciplines, or equivalent industry experience.Experience in developing and implementing complex and innovative marketing and communications projects and strategies.Proven ability to implement systems, technology, policies and procedures that improve and enhance communication outputs and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Highly developed interpersonal skills to positively engage with the media, Councillors, senior management and staff across the organisation.Experience in developing and maintaining a high-performing teams including experience managing, and developing staff including the setting, monitoring, and reviewing Employee Development Planning.Experience managing budgets, expenses, and financial records by organisational standards.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining compliance with all organisational policies and external regulations.Next Steps Applications must be submitted through our online system and should be in line with the Moonee Valley City Council Application Guide.
