Principal Corporate Strategy and Business Development, AWS Strategic BDAWS is seeking a Strategy and Business Development leader to join our team in Australia to cover ANZ.
This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized corporate team that works with our top AWS customers to develop and execute high-impact partnerships by aligning interests and objectives across Amazon's diverse portfolio of businesses and services.
Key job responsibilities Identify and deliver high-impact engagements.Assess inbound requests and independently manage opportunities end-to-end.Drive high impact partnerships through to completion.Structure best-in-class partnerships that create value for Amazon and AWS.Manage executive relationships and negotiate unconventional partnership deals.Collaborate with internal leadership teams to understand relative advantages and risks.Provide thoughtful technical and business analysis for data-driven decision-making. A day in the life Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships involving marketing/advertising, content, commerce, and technology components.Assess technical feasibility for AWS and Amazon businesses while creating new deal constructs.Evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit of partnerships.Lead cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, and senior management.Develop best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities.Support the strategic objectives and interests of Amazon's business teams globally. Minimum Requirements 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience.7+ years of professional or military experience.Experience working with Fortune 500 companies and understanding of the technology and cloud landscape.Bachelor degree from a top-tier university. Preferred Qualifications MBA.Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups.Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams.Strong oral and written communication skills.Self-starter with the experience to excel in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.Solid understanding of Internet business models and web technologies.Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships which facilitate deal flow.
