The role
The role involves providing expert clinical leadership and support within a mental health, alcohol, and other drugs (MHAOD) setting.
The individual will apply advanced specialist knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to influence and improve clinical workflow design.
As a clinical resource, advisor, and mentor, they will actively participate in service innovation and change management, ensuring alignment with professional standards, policies, and legislation.
Collaboration across professional boundaries is essential to deliver high-quality, safe services, while contributing to policy development and addressing emerging service needs.
The successful candidate will practice in accordance with ethical and professional standards, maintaining competence in relevant clinical practice area and supporting an interprofessional team to promote safety and patient-centered care.
This includes identifying and managing risks, complying with relevant legislation, and ensuring that workplace health, safety, and equal employment opportunity policies are upheld.
Additionally, they will contribute to the professional development of themselves and others by utilising contemporary clinical practices to enhance service delivery in MHAOD services.
The successful person
To succeed in this role, you must have advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical expertise in one or more MHAOD areas, along with at least 12 months of recent clinical practice in a hospital and health service (HHS) environment.
You should also be skilled in applying clinical knowledge and experience within the realm of clinical informatics.
Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping clinical practice by providing professional advocacy within the Digital Transformation Program.
This involves using the latest evidence and expert judgment to advise and influence senior management and stakeholders on matters related to clinical informatics and workflow design in mental health, alcohol, and other drugs care settings.
