Senior Manager Property and Corridor Protection North Sydney NSW
The Senior Manager Property and Corridor Protection leads the acquisition and management of property for the High-Speed Rail project, while ensuring that key rail corridors are preserved and protected for future infrastructure development.
The role is essential in securing land and managing interactions with government agencies, landowners, and stakeholders.
This position is being offered as a 12-month non-ongoing contract with strong prospects for a longer-term engagement.
The key duties of the position include: Property Acquisition: Oversee the land and property acquisition process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the timely acquisition of necessary properties.
Corridor Protection: Develop strategies to identify, protect, and preserve critical high-speed rail corridors in alignment with long-term infrastructure plans.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with landowners, local councils, and government agencies to address property concerns and facilitate smooth acquisition and protection processes.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all acquisitions and corridor protection efforts comply with relevant legal frameworks and mitigate risks to project timelines and budgets.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills You are skilled in managing complex stakeholder negotiations while adhering to regulatory and project timelines.
Balancing long-term corridor protection needs with immediate project demands and property acquisition challenges.
Our ideal candidate has: Tertiary qualifications in property management, law, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure property acquisition and corridor protection.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, particularly in the context of compulsory acquisition.
Minimum Requirements Citizenship: must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for employment with the Authority.
Health Assessment: may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the Authority's preferred medical provider.
Security Clearance: must be able to obtain and/or maintain a security clearance at the Baseline Vetting Level.
You must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
You must have lived in Australia, or have a verifiable background, for at least the preceding five years for Baseline Vetting Level.
