This unique and hands-on Special Counsel role offers high visibility with executive leadership, providing expert legal advice and leading the legal response for various high-profile projects.
We are seeking a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in commercial disputes, an exceptional ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, and a proven track record of managing high-value matters to optimal outcomes.
What You'll Do
Provide expert, pragmatic legal advice on complex commercial disputes Act as the primary legal contact for high-profile commercial dispute projects Partner with senior business leaders to simplify complex legal matters and deliver commercially sound solutions Proactively identify opportunities to mitigate legal risks and enhance outcomes on dispute-related projects Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the legal team Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of disputes What You'll Bring
Law degree and current Australian Practising Certificate (mandatory) 15+ years PQE in litigation and commercial disputes Proven ability to resolve complex disputes on optimal terms in high-pressure environments Exceptional advocacy, contractual interpretation, and regulatory expertise Ability to provide clear, concise advice to senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and agility under tight timeframes What we can offer
