The Opportunity:The CLCM Commercial Manager will be a key member of the Commercial Function, reporting to the CS&M Senior Commercial Manager and CLCM Project Director.
In this role, they'll act as a Trusted Adviser, providing guidance through both formal and informal channels while overseeing the CLCM Commercial team.
Under the general direction of the Commercial Director, the CLCM Commercial Manager will lead commercial planning, contractual arrangements, and the Project commercial team.
With expertise in solving complex challenges, this senior role involves managing multiple high-level commercial tasks and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Oversees all commercial aspects of project contracts to ensure compliance with requirements and coordinates with internal teams.Supports the contract by providing timely and accurate information and assisting in all project phases, from pre-bid to closeout.Manages commercial documentation, planning, and internal approvals for the project.Ensures a safe work environment and manages procurement, financial activities, and subcontractor relationships.Coordinates with operations, finance, and project controls, and contributes to key negotiations.Facilitates commercial stewardship across the project and supports Risk Management and compliance.Responsible for evaluating and managing commercial risks and ensuring alignment with KBR's policies.Oversees Intellectual Property, Software Rights, and Technical Data management, ensuring compliance with approved plans.Assists with Contract Performance Reviews, export controls, ITAR compliance, and other duties as directed.Ideal Candidate:Essential:Active AGSVA security clearanceBachelor's degree in Business, Legal or Finance or equivalent practical experiencePrior experience working in Defence commercial management (Industry and/or Government), with working knowledge of the ASDEFCON suiteDemonstrated ability to negotiate and influenceDemonstrated ability to establish quality relationshipsWell-developed communication skillsExperience in financial planning, pricing, planning, billing procedures and contract administrationDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain spreadsheet modelsExperienced user of MS Office products.Desirable:Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant fieldExperience with SAP and Microsoft DynamicsExperience with implementation of and compliance with export controls and the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is desirableChange management experience.Benefits of KBR:A workplace culture certified as a Great Place To Work (Aus, India, UK & US)Flexible working conditionsCompetitive salary (including annual reviews)Paid Parental leavePaid Reservist leaveIncome protectionCorporate rewardsSalary packaging/Novated leasingDiscounted employee stock purchase plansFlu shots, skin checks and private health insurance discountsCareer development: Online learning, mentorship and career pathwaysIf you're ready to shape tomorrow, let's get started.
