Cultural Support & Training Specialist - Aboriginal IdentifiedThis role is open to applicants who identify as Aboriginal only.

As an active member of the Aboriginal community, you will provide robust cultural support regarding service delivery, while designing, implementing, and delivering culturally safe and educative programs and services to all KARI Foundation stakeholders, including children, young people, corporate and community partners, and relevant Government Departments.
Tasks and Responsibilities Assist with the design and development of the Cultural Fee for Service program to ensure all key deliverables are met.Design, develop, and facilitate corporate and school-based cultural awareness and immersion programs.Assist with the design, development, and facilitation of KARI community program initiatives.Design and develop resources to support KARI program and strategic objectives.Provide support and advice to community program workers, corporate partners, and schools.Consult with Aboriginal community members, individuals, and key partners or stakeholders.Build and maintain professional working relationships and partnerships with government and non-government agencies, key Indigenous community organisations, and other service providers.Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds expectations and proactively work with stakeholders to understand their current and future cultural support needs.Conduct relevant reporting and maintain data systems.Advocate for KARI and Aboriginal people, children, and young people in the sector.Requirements AboriginalityNational Criminal Record CheckValid NSW Working with Children's Check - Paid WorkerValid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum Provisional 2)Skills and Experience Demonstrated connection to culture and community.Experience working in a corporate environment.Ability to establish and maintain appropriate networks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience working with Aboriginal communities.Self-motivated in a flexible team environment.Demonstrated report writing skills.Understanding of the needs of Aboriginal children or young people who may not be able to live with their parents.Capacity to research using multimedia tools and community networks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capacity to navigate the internet for work purposes.Ability to respect and work within KARI's values and adhere to KARI's policies and procedures.Ability to work cooperatively with team members, foster carers, families, and professionals from various agencies and cultural backgrounds.#J-18808-Ljbffr
