We are building the future of small business and simplifying cashflow by building a leading platform that helps customers make payments, fund growth and reduce admin.The roleThe Business Development Manager, reporting to the National Sales Manager, will play a crucial role in the Sales & Partnership AU team.
This position involves maintaining, growing, and leveraging relationships with partners and business referral sources within a specific region.The primary focus is on fostering strong relationships, motivating and training partners, and achieving significant growth results.
The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with both Business Development Managers and National Sales Managers to identify key opportunities and drive partnership and referral business.What you will be doingIdentify, contact, engage and partner with broker referrers within a defined territoryImplement a strategic plan to engage partners to refer business and deliver territory sales volumesEngage partnerships to build market awareness and referral opportunitiesEnsure best practice sales and marketing execution is adhered to across the channelPresent the business value proposition to stimulate regular deal opportunitiesIdentify and win new referral partnerships across multiple industriesWork closely with Regional Managers to identify, engage and build business referrals to achieve territory sales volumes and KPIsGrow partner referrals by articulating the 'partner evolution' and progressing mutually beneficial relationshipsProvide management with regular sales pipeline updatesEffectively overcome customer objections and train others to do the same to acquire new businessArticulate Prospa's value proposition to all targeted business types (retail, hospitality commercial, trades etc)Actively contribute to the wider team's motivation and positive attitude towards becoming a market leader within targeted channel categoriesMaintain accurate information in our company CRM systemWhat you'll need to succeed3 years' experience working within a channel sales roleA proven capability to manage a defined territory of key accounts to meet budgetProven ability to identify, contact and partner with target referral marketExperience with selling and supporting the finance broker market (would be very advantageous)Experience in managing and growing channel partnerships (exceptional training and engagement capability)Excellent relationship building skills with an engaging personalityAbility to be recognised as a valued business supporter and partnerStrong business acumen and a keen understanding of the key motivators for business owners within the SME marketplaceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat we offer :Growth : There's something for everyone including learning days, a learning allowance, leadership programs, performance coaching & digital learningWellbeing : Think fitness initiatives, seasonal programs (including massages, skin checks, family picnics and coffee carts), additional "Me Days" and access to holistic EAP coaching.Lifestyle : Find your fit with flexible working options, top notch office facilities and diverse remote / travel work options.
