Revitalize the future of government service delivery with the Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group (QGCDG) as our new Project Manager.
Spearhead the Shared Service Policy, unveiled in August 2024, which reinforces our dedication to collaborative services and pledges to refine the current model, enhancing support for vital government outcomes.
We are looking for an innovative Project Manager to guide the next evolution of the Queensland Government's shared service model.
Step into a pivotal role with the Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group (QGCDG) as a Project Manager, where you'll champion our shared service model's progression, embodying the spirit of collaboration and innovation at the core of government service delivery.
As an experienced Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront, offering high-level advice and steering the management of critical projects spanning various business groups within QGCDG.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Crafting actionable recommendations for stakeholders, illuminating the path forward as you navigate emerging project delivery challenges.Proactively managing project finances, timelines, and risks, maintaining adherence to set tolerances, with vigilant oversight to address and escalate any variances promptly.Developing and delivering compelling presentations, briefings, reports, and dashboards, facilitating informed decision-making for governance entities and executive leadership.Forge and nurture robust stakeholder relationships through strategic communication, savvy negotiation, and adept issues management, ensuring sustained involvement and unity of purpose.To excel in this dynamic environment, you'll need to exhibit: A history of successful project management, with a command of industry methodologies, principles, governance, and reporting structures.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of creating and delivering engaging content in diverse formats such as workshops, forums, and executive reports.Astute business acumen, especially in the realm of corporate governance, to judiciously manage project initiatives and gauge performance.A track record of developing trust-based partnerships, establishing yourself as a reliable and credible advisor.The capacity to deliver impactful results amidst a high-energy, rapidly evolving landscape with shifting demands.Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with intermediate to advanced competency is highly desirable.A background in project, program or portfolio management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, or similar is highly desirable.This role caters to sensitive data handling, hence a criminal history check is requisite before commencing the role.
