You will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes on all Tasman Tanks projects and ensuring that our client's needs and expectations are met.You'll be the key in driving all construction projects across our range of liquid storage tank solutions in various key market sectors, including mining and building services, fire protection, industrial, agriculture, waste water, municipal, etc.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership, Management and CommunicationsEnsure all projects are delivered on time and on budget and are constructed to the highest qualityLead the Project Managers to ensure that all aspects of their roles and Tasman Tank's procedures are maintained at the highest levelManage the overall program of works, while ensuring efficiencies in crew optimisation, contractual obligations and cash flowEffective and efficient collaboration is in place with the other departments to ensure that we can meet all delivery schedulesAlign strategies with the Senior Management Team to ensure consistency in approach and quality representation from Tasman TanksBuild and maintain productive relationships with clients to protect Tasman's industry reputationLiaise with the Management Team and all internal stakeholders to ensure clients' expectations are met during production and installation.Lead the development and execution of the construction services strategy and long-term direction and goals in consultation with the Managing DirectorLead by example and inspire an accountable and safe team culture across Australia, New Zealand and the PacificEnsure there is clear and concise verbal and written communication to all department membersMonitor the Project Manager's communications between staff and clients, contractors and suppliersEnsure compliance in relation to contracts and purchase orders with a focus on ensuring commercial obligations are met and with a view to strengthening Tasman's position financially.Monitor and maintain the MPLsOversee the monthly invoicing targets with Project ManagersMonitor contract costs against agreed budgets and provide relevant financial reporting to the Management DirectorAttend weekly financial forecasting meetingsWork with the Finance Manager to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition and providing advice on contractual termsPeople and DevelopmentLead and develop a high-performing team aligned with Tasman Tanks' strategic direction and goalsAccountable for leading and mentoring all construction services roles within Australia, New Zealand and the PacificEstablish appropriate KPIs for the department and monitor group and individual performance against themSafety and ComplianceEnsure the required WH&S standards and SWMS are met for all construction projects.
Ensure the required WH&S documentation for all projects is correct and provided to the client.Maintain and develop a strong WH&S culture within the construction operationsEnsure construction personnel take ownership of their working environment in compliance with our WHS&E requirementsAbout YouThis role will suit an experienced Construction Manager with strong analytical, planning and communication skills who enjoys taking responsibility and ownership within a dynamic but stable business.Degree in Construction Management (or related field) with relevant commercial/contracts management experience within the construction industryMin 8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or allied fieldAbility to recruit, retain and motivate a high-performing and commercially focused project teamDemonstrated track record in project and contracts management across multiple projects, including responsibility for WH&SCreative problem-solving/proactive thinking to challenge the status quo and drive progressive changeExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide expert advice to key stakeholdersWell-developed report writing, verbal and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and commitment to safetyPositive and proactive attitudeAbility to build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholdersExperience in the liquid storage tank/water industry (highly regarded)This role would be perfect for someone who is a self-starter with excellent planning ability and enjoys a varied and busy role.If you're a motivated, safety-conscious Construction Manager with a desire to work on prestigious projects with significant impact, we want to hear from you#J-18808-Ljbffr
