We are seeking a Rural Medical Specialist to join our team in North West Queensland.
About the OpportunityThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Medical Practitioner to work in Adult Internal Medicine at a primary teaching hospital.
The role involves initiating, maintaining, and being responsible for the clinical care of patients under the supervision of relevant Consultants.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical responsibilities include supervising junior medical staff and participating in an on-call roster or shift roster to provide services out-of-hours.The successful candidate will be based at the primary teaching hospital of James Cook University Medical School and play an active role in medical student and junior doctor education.About the LocationNorth West Queensland offers a unique blend of urban and rural living with plenty of opportunities to experience the natural beauty of the region.
RequirementsA current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia is essential.Mandatory requirements include a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.The PackageThe base salary ranges between $129,583 and $150,240 p.a.
(L4-L9) and up to $70,000 in incentive payments may be available under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme.
An employer superannuation contribution of 12.75% is included.
Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accruals are also available.
Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are possible.
4 weeks p.a.
recreational leave with a 17.5% loading/bonus is offered.
