As an emergency physician at Casey Hospital ED your primary role is to support and assist the Director of the Emergency Department, in the provision of high quality Emergency Department services at Casey Hospital, consistent with the Monash Health values.
On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for your team of doctors in caring for patients who present to our facility.
We care for day old babes to patients over 100 years old; all clinical groups of presentations have access to our care; from cradle to grave.
Our diverse team is also responsible for a large 14 bed short stay unit, urgent transfer medicine and trauma care.
Each emergency physician has an expectation of a clinical support portfolio in order to assist the Director in management of such a large unit.
The applicant must be able to:
Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a high quality multidisciplinary team, appropriate.Access to Emergency services, open communication, collaborative working relationships and professional behaviours at all times.Duties as outlined in the relevant Enterprise AgreementWhat you will need: Medical Specialist Registration with AHPRAFellow of Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or completed all requirements to attain fellowship or equivalent certification.We recognise the value of equal employment opportunity.
