About the Role This role is responsible for managing the non-AUD interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) in line with ANZ IRRBB Policy and Framework and coordinating funding across the ANZ Institutional Australia Foreign Currency Balance Sheet.
This involves managing FX swap, Cross-Currency swap, and Interest Rate risk in addition to funding risk management.
The individual will develop financial plans, financial targets and ensure ANZ Institutional Australia is sustainably funded.

Building strong relationships across Global Markets Franchise and Global Markets Balance Sheet is crucial for delivering optimal funding outcomes.
The role requires active engagement and collaboration with internal business stakeholders, including Group Treasury, Market Risk, Finance, Front Office Support, and Compliance.
Additionally, the individual will articulate and execute a robust strategic risk management and funding strategy for the non-AUD Mismatch portfolios, ensuring adherence to trading mandates, governance, and regulatory requirements.

As a senior leader, you will mentor and develop Balance Sheet Associates/Analysts and contribute to the broader development of the team, including ANZ graduates on rotation.
The role also involves driving and supporting business projects to enhance operational efficiencies and technology/risk platforms, while maintaining strong relationships with key internal business support partners.

What will your day look like?
Collaborate with the regional Heads of Balance Sheet Trading, and other Markets leaders to sustainably fund the Institutional Australia Foreign Currency Balance Sheet.

Identify and manage all associated risks.
Define key products, systems, and risk limits required to achieve business objectives.

Provide strategic insight, senior engagement across the globe to ensure a well-managed and sustainably funded business in Australia.

Grow and develop your teammates to deliver opportunity and operational resilience.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
Extensive experience in a Markets Trading or Treasury Risk management or adjacent role in a large, complex, multi-geographical financial services organisation.
Strong Markets background and extensive knowledge of the relevant markets and products in which ANZ operates.
Extensive knowledge of regulatory framework and requirements for a Markets business in Australia.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, dealing with internal and external customers, and negotiating with customers and stakeholders at all seniority levels.
A reputation for sound risk management, works effectively with risk management, compliance, and technology teams to operate a "well-run", end-to-end business.
Successfully build a network of strong relationships across various Markets and Institutional teams.
