Our physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists and dietitians are passionate about the care they provide to the clients who are at the centre of everything we do.We are a values-led organisation, we bring energy, act with integrity, nurture and care, we listen and connect.Your Opportunity:You will be responsible for working under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients in Residential Aged Care (RAC) Settings. As an Allied Health Assistant, your time will consist of both clinical and administrative duties.You will be responsible for:Assisting to deliver all physiotherapy services in accordance with the Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.Servicing RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.Transporting residents to and from the therapy gym area/their appointments under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists.Setting up and packing away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipment.Collecting referrals and any other administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapists.Ordering prescribed equipment.Running exercise groups/programs.Supporting initiatives to meet client/contract expectations.Consulting with the physiotherapist/occupational therapist regarding adaptations/changes/progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriate.Participating in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.To best support our customers, you will need:Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.Australian working rights.Willingness to obtain NDIS worker screening and National Police Check.Healthcare knowledge.Ability to independently deliver treatment plans.Time management and accountability.Clinical knowledge.Communication skills.Driver's Licence and reliable car.Your Career with Plena:In addition to an awesome team environment and competitive hourly rate, Plena Healthcare prides itself on a genuine work/life balance where flexibility is key We aim to support and inspire our team to enrich the lives of our clients.Plena Perks:Competitive above award hourly rate.Work-life balance, flexible working hours.1:1 Mentoring Program.Shine Awards – We love our people & we love rewarding outstanding achievements.Shine Days - an additional 2 days of leave a yearHealth Kick - $150 annual budget to spend on your fitness and well-being.Treasure Chest Fund - We like to spread joy.$300 Refer a friend bonus.Novated car leasing.Retail discounts."We pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer, committed to supporting an inclusive & diverse workplace.
