Parkville/WFH location | Close to public transport, onsite parkingFull to part time ongoing position | 0.6-1.0FTEJoin a passionate multidisciplinary team | Support young peopleAbout OrygenOrygen is Australia's Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health and the largest translational research organisation dedicated to youth mental health in the world.For over 30 years, Orygen has led groundbreaking early intervention and developed evidence-based models of care to improve the mental health outcomes of young people aged 12-25.About the jobThe Lived Experience Participation Lead will be responsible for facilitating the meaningful representation of lived experience perspectives, including involvement of young people, in Orygen Digital activities.Reporting to the Head of Product and Service Development you will:Youth Participation Program Management: Manage Orygen Digital's Youth Participation Program, coordinating advisory groups, workshops, and maintaining operational processes.Youth Advisor Support: Ensure effective communication, onboarding, wellness plans, and training opportunities to foster youth advisor wellbeing and professional growth.Staff Capability Building: Guide staff in implementing lived experience engagement and human-centered design practices, ensuring best practices and compliance with procedures.Strategic Planning & Promotion: Collaborate on lived experience initiatives, manage participation plans, contribute to grants, and align with Orygen's strategic direction.Sector Engagement: Support events and projects to enhance the visibility of lived experience participation across Orygen and the wider community.Skills and experienceThe following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:A lived or living experience of mental ill-health, and a willingness to bring this lived experience perspective to the role.Demonstrated understanding and commitment to contemporary approaches to lived experience participation.A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (for example, youth work, mental health, public policy, or design) would be desirable.Demonstrated experience leading projects, strong stakeholder management, and ability to unite diverse groups around lived experience participation.Excellent written and verbal skills, confidence in facilitating workshops, and the ability to deliver creative, practical solutions.Benefits$85,000 - $95,000 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + superannuation and $15,900 in NFP salary packaging + $2,600 meals and entertainment card.Embrace the freedom of a hybrid work model, combining remote work with on-site collaboration.Make a real impact on young people in a dynamic, youth-centered environment.Work in a state-of-the-art facility co-designed with young people to advance youth mental health.Support Orygen's mission for youth mental health and contribute to positive social change.How to applyIf you're ready to make a difference in youth mental health and be part of a collaborative, innovative team, apply now.For the full position description, visit getmedia/86a194ae-6ffd-470c-b4ad-c849cb748f13/Position-description_Lived-Experience-Participation-Lead-(1).pdf.aspxThis is full to part time (1.0-0.6FTE will be considered) ongoing position.Applications will close on Friday 3rd January at 9am, unless a suitable candidate is found sooner.Orygen is committed to providing diverse, equitable and inclusive environments for Staff and anyone connected to Orygen.
