Commercial Manager | Nsw Government

The Company This state government department plays a crucial role in the wellness of NSW and is currently involved in various projects across NSW. Due to an increase in work volume, this respected Government organisation has an immediate need for multiple Commercial Managers to lead commercial, financial transactional, and governance aspects of commercial arrangements. The successful candidate must have public sector knowledge and an understanding of contemporary approaches to strategic procurement best practice, with a building and/or construction focus.
The Job Reporting into the Director, Commercial in this procurement-focused role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Develop funding structures and advise on commercial strategies with partners. Evaluate feasibility of proposals and transactions. Contribute to strategic direction and address emergent issues. Mitigate organisational risks through best practice solutions. Lead expert advice in commercial negotiations for program consistency. Conduct financial modelling for project feasibilities and identify opportunities. Provide authoritative support for commercial business planning. You To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar Commercial Manager role within a large and/or complex organisation. Track record of developing commercially viable solutions within the framework of NSW government guidelines and legislative frameworks will be highly favoured. Proven ability to effectively manage conflicts arising from competing priorities and stakeholders. A background in legal, finance, and/or procurement will be beneficial. Strong ability to establish and manage relationships, as well as navigate complex dependencies with internal stakeholders.
