Job Opportunity: Workplace Health and Safety OfficerWe regularly have opportunities in the Brisbane & SEQ Regions for a Workplace Health and Safety Officer with Road Infrastructure experience interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of approximately 2 years with a possibility of extensions and other projects.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the preparation & implementation of health and safety plans.Complete risk assessments, audits, task observations and safety investigations.Complete and maintain any documentation required on the project as per the Federal Safety Accreditation and ISO Accreditation requirements.Ensure relevant legislation is adhered to.Provide training and support to the team members.Manage and develop relationships with employees and stakeholders.Essential SkillsEssential Skills required undertaking this role:
Must have a minimum 5 years' WH&S experience on TMR road infrastructure projects & conducted related audits.Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation.Experience working on road construction projects in the rural environment.Time management and task prioritisation capabilities, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure.Excellent communication skills.Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.Qualified in OHS.Proposed HoursThe proposed hours are 36-45 per week; however, longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit workload.
LocationThe role is Logan Region / QLD based and preference would be given to someone who is local to the project within the Sth Brisbane to Gold Coast, within an hour's drive of Jimboomba.
