About the role and team Baker McKenzie's Transactional Practice Group is at the forefront of providing commercially astute advice to major Australian and global companies, fund managers, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.
Our Energy team is at the forefront of this journey, providing commercially astute advice to major Australian and global companies.
We have one of Australia's largest dedicated energy, infrastructure and resources teams, with experience in all Australian jurisdictions.
We are particularly well known for our high-end mergers and acquisitions.
With offices across the globe, we provide our clients with something that no other Australian law firm can offer – a leading Australian practice with access to an integrated global platform.
Some of the group's key areas of specialization are in complex M&A transactions, privatisations, listed public to private transactions, PPPs, structured finance, major infrastructure (including digital and telco infrastructure), energy, resources, and utilities.
About You 2-4 years' experience in corporate transactions and commercial arrangements (such as M&A or projects work)Australian Qualified lawyer with relevant experienceRelevant energy and renewables transactions experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred;A strong academic backgroundStrong technical and drafting skills;Effective written and verbal communications skills;Strong commitment to client service, well-developed relationship management ability and ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients.Team focus – ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients, reliable and always follow throughProactive and enthusiastic approach including participating in industry-related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks; andAn ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally)Financial benefits: competitive remuneration package, generous bonus scheme, salary continuance insurance, life insurance, salary sacrifice options, employee discounts, referral rewards, and travel insurance for you and your family.
