An exciting pre-opening opportunity exists for a Duty Manager – Food & Beverage to join our team at Hyatt House South Melbourne. This role offers the unique chance to be part of launching the Hyatt House brand in Australia, with the hotel scheduled to open at the beginning of 2025. Based on site in South Melbourne, the Duty Manager – Food & Beverage will help build, coach and lead a team of motivated and passionate hospitality professionals. This is a great opportunity in a pre-opening team for someone who is willing to contribute in successfully setting up finance department and enthusiastic about learning/acquiring new skills.
ResponsibilitiesRun and manage shifts in all outlets as requiredFocus on guests and team member satisfaction, constantly looking at ways to improve the guest and team member experience via feedback channelsAssist with the onboarding, training and development of team members, and implementation of training programsMonitor promotional tracking and reporting in a timely mannerEnsure guest complaints are handled and communicated in a timely and satisfactory mannerQualificationsYour background: Previous proven managerial experience in a premium restaurant or 5-star hotelA current Victorian RSA CertificateStrong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, train and motivate team membersA true foodie, with sound Victorian product knowledgeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to implement learning and development strategies and programsThe confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressureFlexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidaysBenefitsHyatt House employees enjoy, but are not limited to:
