Based in Helensvale on the Gold Coast, Steamatic is Australia's longest established and largest restoration company operating on a 24/7 basis to promptly deal with both emergency and non-emergency events including water, mould and fire damage as well as other specialist services.
Steamatic Gold Coast is a family owned and operated franchise currently looking for an enthusiastic Restoration Technician or Trainee to join our team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Start your day from our factory in Helensvale and travel in a company vehicle to scheduled jobs to assist customers with water, mould and fire damage.
The position offers above award wage rates, allowances and performance bonuses for the right applicant.
Full training including IICRC Certifications will be provided to the right candidate.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Must be trustworthy; able to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail is critical Must be physically fit; able to perform heavy lifting Electronic Reporting Skills – i.e.
use of iPad Strong communication skills both verbally and written Must be available to work on-call / after hours on a set roster if required Possess a current manual Driver's License Willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check, current Police Check and full Medical Responsibilities include:
Attend water damage, fire damage, mould and meth jobs Perform all areas of mitigation & restoration works, including strip outs, small scale demolition, water mitigation, structural drying & carpet/upholstery cleaning Attend to specialised cleaning/restoration jobs including dry ice blasting & laser cleaning Complete all necessary job documentation on an iPad Skills and experience
The right person will have:
A great work ethic and positive attitude Willingness to learn Ability to perform detailed cleaning (similar to asbestos cleanup) Handy, practical and experience with some hand tools is an advantage If you meet the above requirements or are looking for a change in career, apply NOW
