We are currently seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to join our Contracts team located in Perth, Western Australia on a permanent basis.
About the Job Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the role will support the business in new and existing projects, management and administration of head contracts and subcontracts, including contract negotiations, variations and change management, claims management and dispute resolution.
Your responsibilities will include:
In-depth analysis of contract terms and conditions to identify key risks, obligations and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate any potential riskProvide commercial and contractual advice to the Project Manager in relation to the head contract and key subcontracts and prepare regular reports for senior managementProactive and timely management of variation and change requests with a view to maximise opportunity for positive project upsideDevelopment subcontracting documents to reflect contract requirementsPreparation, negotiation, assessment and resolution of contract claims for delay, disruption and extensions of timeMonitor key deliverables under the contract and identification of risks and opportunities in the event of deliverable failureFoster a culture of risk mitigation and optimisation of opportunity within project teamsAdministration of performance guarantees and insurance in accordance with the contractManagement of CMS and relevant project recordsAbout You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering or relevant similar discipline8+ years as a Senior Contracts Engineer/Contracts Lead/Contracts Manager working within the resource sectorHigh standard of written and spoken English, with strong internal and external stakeholder engagement abilitySound knowledge and understanding of the relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements pertaining to the energy and construction sectorsPrevious experience working within subsea production, offshore operations or hydrogen production is highly valuedWe offer you not only a job, but an inspiring journey in a truly global environment where you team up to break down boundaries thanks to the innovation, creativity and pioneer spirit which drive our people.
