We are currently seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to join our Contracts team located in Perth, Western Australia on a permanent basis.
About the Job Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the role will support the business in new and existing projects, management and administration of head contracts and subcontracts, including contract negotiations, variations and change management, claims management and dispute resolution.
Your responsibilities will include:
In-depth analysis of contract terms and conditions to identify key risks, obligations and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate any potential risk Provide commercial and contractual advice to the Project Manager in relation to the head contract and key subcontracts and prepare regular reports for senior management Proactive and timely management of variation and change requests with a view to maximize opportunity for positive project upside Development of subcontracting documents to reflect contract requirements Preparation, negotiation, assessment and resolution of contract claims for delay, disruption and extensions of time Monitor key deliverables under the contract and identification of risks and opportunities in the event of deliverable failure Foster a culture of risk mitigation and optimization of opportunity within project teams Administration of performance guarantees and insurance in accordance with the contract Management of CMS and relevant project records About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering or relevant similar discipline 8+ years as a Senior Contracts Engineer/Contracts Lead/Contracts Manager working within the resource sector High standard of written and spoken English, with strong internal and external stakeholder engagement ability Sound knowledge and understanding of the relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements pertaining to the energy and construction sectors Previous experience working within subsea production, offshore operations or hydrogen production is highly valued We offer you not only a job, but an inspiring journey in a truly global environment where you team up to break down boundaries thanks to the innovation, creativity and pioneer spirit which drive our people.
