WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY This 3-month temp role will take ownership and provide support to the Senior Financial Accountant in the operation of all key accounting functions.
The position will prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, general ledger and bank reconciliations, and prepare month end intercompany reconciliations and maintain a fixed asset register.
The role will assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
You will ensure compliance with tax regulations, including the preparation and lodgement of BAS returns and assist with financial audits, including preparation of audit schedules and liaising with external auditors.
You will assist in preparation of year end statutory accounts and assist in preparation of FBT returns.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations and support ad hoc tasks as requested.
WHAT EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CA qualification (or nearing completion) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial accounting role.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (experience with SAP or similar is an advantage).
Intermediate or advanced Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
