Branch Manager
Strategic Role : Take full ownership of P&L management, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, with the ability to drive significant improvements and make a tangible impact on both the business and the environment.

This organisation, a renowned national leader in environmental solutions, is seeking an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to lead operations at one of their key regional branches.
This company is well-known for delivering high-quality waste management, recycling, and resource recovery services to a broad spectrum of industries, from local governments to large-scale commercial clients.

The Opportunity:
This is a key leadership role that requires an individual capable of managing all aspects of the branch's operations.
The Branch Manager will be responsible for delivering superior service to customers, optimizing resource use, ensuring safety and compliance, and driving the financial performance of the branch.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment with the opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture: Promote a high-performance, values-driven culture by leading and engaging with teams across the branch.
Work closely with HR to manage performance, develop talent, and foster employee engagement.
Operational Performance: Ensure the branch has the necessary equipment and resources to meet customer demands and deliver operational excellence.
Compile and present regular performance reports to senior management, identifying key opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Financial Accountability: Take ownership of the branch's profit and loss, budget preparation, and forecasting.
Drive cost management initiatives to enhance profitability and maintain strict financial controls.
Risk & Compliance Management: Lead efforts to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Manage the reporting of any incidents and implement corrective actions to minimize future risk.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-driven leader with strong commercial and operational experience.
Key attributes include:
Operational Expertise: Proven experience in managing large teams or operational departments, preferably within the waste, transport, or recycling industries.
Financial Acumen: Demonstrated success in managing P&L responsibilities and driving cost-saving initiatives while delivering operational targets.
Safety Leadership: A proven track record of fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in management or business are preferred, though significant industry experience will also be considered.

General Managers and Regional Managers Customers and business partners Operational leadership teams, including Fleet, HSE, Finance, and HR Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ):
The Branch Manager will be expected to champion a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring the branch adheres to all company policies and regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for promoting health and safety standards across all operational activities.
