About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team at Melvic Auto Care in Ravenhall, VIC.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
Diagnosing and Repairing Vehicle Issues: Identifying and fixing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Routine Servicing and Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
Engine and Transmission Overhauls: Conducting major repairs or complete overhauls of engines, transmissions, and other critical vehicle components.
Suspension and Steering Repairs: Inspecting and repairing suspension systems and steering components to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Brake System Servicing: Maintaining and replacing brake pads, rotors, and other related components.
Electrical System Repairs: Fixing or replacing vehicle electrical systems, including batteries, alternators, and wiring.
Exhaust and Cooling System Maintenance: Repairing or replacing exhaust systems and cooling components like radiators and water pumps.
Providing Customer Advice: Explaining repairs, maintenance needs, and costs to customers, and offering preventative solutions.
Maintaining Workshop Safety and Cleanliness: Adhering to safety standards and keeping the work environment clean and organized.
Road Testing Vehicles: Conducting test drives to ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are successful.
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably within the automotive repair industry.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on a wide range of vehicle systems.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
A commitment to safety and a drive to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.

Remuneration
Successful candidate will be paid the salary of $72,000 to $74,000 plus superannuation.
