We are I-CAR Gold, BMW and Tesla accredited and are trained in the latest technology to meet prestige manufacturers' high standards.Gain access to further your career for the long term with in-depth training from OEM's and become part of a close-knit team that take pride in our work and the brands that endorse us.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Spray Painter to join the team at Harris Adams Prestige Auto Repairs.As an Apprentice Spray Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other coatings on prestige vehicles. You will work under the guidance of experienced spray painters to learn the techniques and skills required to produce high-quality finishes.Role ResponsibilitiesAs an Apprentice Spray Painter, you will learn:Cleaning, sanding, and masking vehicle surfaces to prepare them for paintMixing and matching paint colours to accurately match desired colourUsing spray guns and other equipment to apply paint evenly and smoothly onto vehicle surfacesApplying primers and sealers to promote paint adhesion, prevent rust, and create a solid foundation for the topcoatApplying multiple layers of paint, including basecoat, clearcoat, and other specialised coatingsSkilfully blending new paint into existing areasPerforming detailed touch-ups to correct imperfectionsCreating special textures, patterns, or effects using different techniquesMonitoring and controlling drying and curing processesInspecting painted surfaces for flawsAdhering to safety protocols, using proper ventilation, protective gear, and ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.Does this sound like you?Strong work ethic and reliability: We are looking for someone who will be punctual, dependable, communicative and willing to work hardWillingness to learn and take direction: You will need to follow instructions from experienced staff and be open to learning new techniques and skillsAttention to detail and an eye for colour: Spray painting requires precision and the ability to match colours accuratelyGenuine desire, commitment and enthusiasm to build a career in the automotive industryWe know that sometimes people need non-standard work hours and would be happy to discuss the options available in this role, or similar roles across our business.BenefitsReward & recognitionCareer development and trainingReferral bonus for recommending a friend to work with usDiscounts on parts and toolsUniforms24/7 professional counselling for Team members and their immediate familiesWe champion our Team, because it's our people that set us apart and drive our business' success.
