Business Segment: Universal Studio Group Company Description International Studios delivers award-winning international television to millions across the globe.
Based in London, NBCUniversal International Studios' in-house production labels include: Carnival Films, Monkey Kingdom and Australian-based Matchbox Pictures.
Additionally, NBCUniversal International Studios operates a joint production venture with Working Title Television and Heyday Television, owns an equity stake in LARK Productions in Canada (Motive) and has a first look deal with Hardy Son & Baker and 87 Films.
It also operates a prolific global formats business, which licenses and produces content in over 70 territories worldwide.

Job Description Matchbox Pictures is looking for a Business Affairs Coordinator, preferably based in its Melbourne office to support a busy and experienced Business & Legal Affairs team who work in the Matchbox offices in Sydney and Melbourne across development, financing and production of scripted and un-scripted television programming, feature films, as well as general company business.

Ideal candidates may include those with production office or production clearance experience who are looking to broaden their business affairs skillset or those with business affairs experience in the film or television industry.

To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with a flexible and collaborative approach, with a strong aptitude for initiating process efficiency and excellent administrative skills.
You will thrive working in a fast-paced business with the demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders and be calm under pressure while managing time-dependent deliverables and balancing competing interests.

Key Responsibilities
Briefing production teams on Matchbox clearance and other production compliance processes and procedures; Providing regular support and advice to productions on clearance matters; Drafting and preparing standard development and production agreements, including assisting the team in managing chain of title documentation across projects; Contract management, including compliance with company records management practices; Managing the company's Screenrights registrations and contested Screenrights issues; Arranging for title clearance and opinions for programming; Obtaining PPSR and ASIC searches in relation to program financing; Assisting on matters relating to the promotion and distribution of content, including rights information enquiries in relation to Matchbox library catalogue; Assisting with the development and maintenance of group Contract precedents; Calendar management and expense management for VP of team; and Other day-to-day support as may be required.
Qualifications Team player with professional and 'can do' attitude.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Methodical and organised with great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and SharePoint.
Honest and conscientious.
Passionate about the film and television industry, with ideally production office or production clearance experience.
