About Us:
As a result of sustained growth and increasing demand, our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to contribute to the success of major projects in Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking Energy projects and be an integral part of Queensland's transition to a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the successful delivery of a multi-million dollar project, collaborating closely with the Project Manager.
Define project responsibilities, phases, and elements, including the assignment of personnel and contractor bid evaluations.
Develop and manage project schedules, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
Provide technical input into procurement processes, overseeing execution and management of procurement activities.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, contractual, and safety standards.
Estimate budgets, generate proposals, and manage project finances throughout the project life cycle.
Check and finalise material requirements from the Bill of Materials (BOM).
Summarise and report on test results.
Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and propose suitable solutions.
Act as a liaison between design and field operations, project procurement, site construction support, quality systems implementation, project estimation, tendering, reporting, and testing/commissioning support.

About You:

Degree in Engineering.
Experience in High Voltage (HV) projects.
Proven experience in a similar role within the energy or construction sector.
Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, design, and contracts management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Working knowledge of engineering codes and safety standards.
Previous experience in wind/solar/transmission projects is desirable but not essential.
