This is an opportunity to broaden your expertise in civil engineering and your exposure to the full project life-cycle.
TfA have a strong in-house engineering team providing detailed design services for a broad range of projects and with over 25 years' experience in the superior delivery of fuel & energy projects.
TfA are positioned as leaders in the energy transition.
The role will be focussed on the design of fuel, energy and industrial development projects, as well as other general retail and commercial projects such as multi-retail centres, industrial subdivisions, and logistics/warehousing.
This is a permanent position and will be based in our head office located in Fortitude Valley with easy access to public transport.
We Offer: Opportunity to work alongside a cross-section of other project delivery disciplinesFriendly team environment offering diversity and inclusivenessEmployment longevity and stabilityWe are looking for someone who: Has a proven ability to work with and coordinate a team of design and engineering professionalsTakes pride in delivering projects on time and on budgetHas a proven track record of taking initiative and ownership in driving client and project solutionsIs committed to long term employment within an organisation and has the desire to play a key role in future growth of the businessThe Role: Site stormwater drainage design including water quality and quantity modelling to satisfy Councils and other authorities approvalsPreparation of site-based stormwater management plan reportsMarking up drawings to enable the preparation of earthworks, grading, drainage and pavement plans by the designers/draftersRoad geometric design in accordance with AustroadsOily water systems designConcrete and asphalt pavement designPreparation of material take-offs and cost estimatesPreparation of specifications and scope of workOn-site inspections and preparation of inspection reportsSupervision and mentoring of less experienced engineers and designersLiaison with clients, authorities and sub-consultantsAssisting project managers/engineers in the delivery of projects and/or assume the role of project engineer when requiredSkills & Experience: Minimum of 8 – 10 years proven consultancy experience as a civil design engineer in AustraliaExperience in both commercial/industrial developmentsUnderstanding of water sensitive urban designCPENG / RPEQ or having commenced the process of attainment as a minimumConversant with Autocad Civil 3D, 12d, Music, Drains and PCdrainExcellent communication skills in English (oral and written), in particular high level of technical writing ability (reports, professional emails and letters)Ability to work autonomously and be highly productiveTeam player.
Experience with multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to deliver multiple projects concurrently in a quality, cost effective and efficient manner.Salary & Conditions: Your salary will be negotiated depending on your experience.
