The Youth Support Coordinator (YSC) at Bray Park State High School plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and has the opportunity to thrive.This role focuses on providing tailored support for students who may face barriers to engagement, helping them overcome personal, social, and academic challenges.
Through proactive outreach and collaborative efforts, the YSC supports students' social-emotional well-being and promotes a positive school experience that aligns with Bray Park's commitment to "Success for All Students.
"This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, at 0.83 FTE.

About the Role Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Offer case management and individualized support to students identified as at-risk of disengagement or experiencing personal and academic challenges.Collaborate with school staff, including Guidance Officers, teachers, and administration, to develop and implement strategies that enhance student engagement and retention.Engage with families, local community agencies, and support services to build a network of resources that bolster student well-being and achievement.Conduct one-on-one mentoring and small group sessions, providing a safe and welcoming space for students to build resilience, self-esteem, and essential life skills.Organize and promote school-based programs and activities that encourage social and emotional learning, peer connections, and a positive school culture.Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to departmental guidelines and protecting student confidentiality.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
